If your kiddos are anything like mine, they have morphed into fish this summer and refuse to get out of the water!
I have made it my mission to explore various swimming spots in Thurston County to switch things up for our family.
Here are a few gems worth sharing!
The Tanglewilde Pool
This community pool is open to the public for a small entrance fee during open swim hours! Lifeguards are on duty, and they offer swimming lessons.
Long Lake Park
Located in the heart of Lacey- Long Lake has provided my kids with hours of FREE entertainment! There is no lifeguard on duty. However, there are clean, shallow areas for little ones to play. There are also volleyball courts and grassy areas to sit and relax!
North Thurston High School
Through the Lacey Parks and Recreation website, you can purchase tickets for an open swim on Sundays at the North Thurston High School Pool! A great facility if you are looking for an indoor option.
Yelm City Splash Pad & Park
So much fun to be had, especially for little ones! A beautiful park and playground with lots of splashing! My kids loved packing a picnic lunch and finding a shaded space under a tree to re-energize.
The Tenino Quarry
Recently renovated, this is a great option, especially for older kids. The scenery is lovely and the kids have a blast! It can become very crowded on hot days- arriving early can help avoid a wait.
Stay cool, everyone!
