North Thurston public schools provides two great free programs for your child this Summer. The Summer lunch program is for children 18 and under (an adult must be present). Lunch will be served from 12:00-12:30 pm, Monday-Friday. If you have a child enrolling this year this would be a great opportunity for them to become familiar with holding a lunch tray, serving themselves, waiting in line, being able to open a milk carton without assistance, and more.
The school also has a program called, Playground Pals. This is for children 2-12 years old (under 6 must have parent present). The Lacey Parks and Recreation staff provide a safe place for your children to come together and have fun in a structured environment with activities that include arts and crafts, reading, water play, and much more! Both of the programs they offer are Monday-Friday 12:00pm-3:30pm, June 24th-August 16th, at Lydia Hawk and Lacey Elementary Schools.
